JENNIFER COLTEN is an artist and educator living in St Louis Missouri. After receiving her MFA from Massachusetts College of Art in Boston, she relocated to the Midwest to teach Photography at Washington University in St Louis. Colten’s work focuses on the urban landscape- specifically “edgeland” spaces. These are sites with ambiguous purpose, yet palpable presence. She was recently awarded a RAC, Regional Arts Commission Artist Support Grant (2014) to further photographic scholarship and community work in St Louis Missouri. She was a recipient of a Mid -America Arts Alliance, NEA Fellowship in Photography, and has traveled and exhibited both nationally and internationally.
